The Mazda RX-7 is the only car I know of that is powered by a Wankel Rotary engine. If Mazda's now famous marketing idea "zoom, zoom" had been around in 1995, it would have described this car perfectly. The Wankel Rotary engine gives the RX-7 239hp and almost the same amount of torque. This power sends the Mazda from 0-60mph in only 5.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 155mph. The RX-7 is also popular becuase it is easily tuned. This combined with its simple yet exotic looks makes the RX-7 the best car Mazda has ever built. |
